RN to DNP with MSN Clinicals

Clinical requirements are identical to the BSN to DNP pathway once students begin graduate coursework:

  • Clinical hours integrated throughout AGPCNP emphasis courses
  • Practicum experiences in primary care settings serving adolescents through older adults
  • Clinical coordinator assists with placement within two hours of student’s home
  • Students participate in process of finding clinical placements in their geographic areas
  • Total clinical hours meet AGPCNP certification examination requirements

RN to DNP with MSN Prerequisites & Admissions

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from regionally accredited institution
  • GPA of 3.5 on 4.0 scale for last 60 credit hours (or most recent 60 college-level credits if ADN doesn’t meet 60-credit minimum)
  • Current unencumbered RN license in United States
  • At least one year of RN experience preferred
  • All prerequisites must be completed within 2 years of admission at UM-Flint (exceptions require advisor approval)
  • Minimum grade of B required in prerequisite courses (C acceptable in English)

Tuition

Graduate nursing students pay $861.25 per credit hour for Michigan residents or $1,290 per credit hour for non-residents.

Registration Assessment Fee of $324 per semester covers student support and services including technology, health and wellness, recreation center, and student engagement activities.
