DNP Curriculum

The BSN-DNP AGPCNP spans 74 total credits across six semesters and one summer term, organized around three parallel threads:

  • APRN foundational sciences,
  • specialty-specific diagnostic reasoning and clinical management,
  • a DNP scholarly project sequence

The foundational thread covers physiology and pathophysiology (Parts I and II), pharmacology (Parts I and II), biostatistics, advanced health assessment, research application, and evidence-based practice.

The specialty thread runs four Diagnostic Reasoning courses — progressing from wellness and common acute conditions through chronic and complex multi-system illness — paired with five Clinical Management courses that accumulate 960 clinical hours.

The DNP project thread is woven through the final four semesters via paired didactic and practicum courses covering scholarly problem discovery, evidence translation, data management, health policy, and quality improvement dissemination.

Two electives (3 credits each) are taken in the final year. Onsite immersions are required in Spring I, Fall II, and Fall III.
