MUSC AGPCNP Programs

The Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing offers two Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner pathways:

  • MSN – AGPCNP
  • DNP – AGPCNP

Both programs are delivered in a hybrid format combining flexible online coursework with focused on-campus intensives and guided clinical practice with expert preceptors. MUSC’s position as an integrated academic health sciences center means clinical partnerships are deeply embedded in the curriculum.

Accreditation

The DNP and MSN programs at MUSC College of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) of the AACN. MUSC is the only academic health science center in South Carolina and is widely recognized for its low student-to-faculty ratio, expert faculty and preceptors, and complex clinical settings.

Graduates of the AGPCNP area of study are prepared to sit for the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner national certification examination. Passing the certification exam meets professional licensure requirements in South Carolina — other states may have additional requirements.
